Hrithik Roshan and his performance

Hrithik Roshan MoviesHrithik Roshan is the perfect example of bollywood actor. He has all those qualities that one director and producer are looking for. He can dance, he can act and he has amazing body too.

Hrithik Roshan started his full time acting career with the movie Kaho Naa Pyar hai in the year 2000. From 2000 to till today he gave many blockbusters and flop movies too.

If you ask me to choose one film from all Hrithik Roshan Movies than this will be quite tough task for me. Hence I am adding my Top 3 movies of Hrithik Roshan –

Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai – Though this movie is typical Indian masala film with hero, heroine and villain with same story line, but I really impressed the way Hrithik presented himself in this movie. Indian audience witnessed amazing body, amazing face express and on top amazing dance moves of Hrithik. This movie was blockbuster on boxoffice and Junior Roshan got huge female fan base.

Jodhaa Akbar – This movie was all about Akbar and his love towards Jodhaa. Hrithik once again transformed himself along with his body for the character of Akbar. There was a scene where Akbar fights with the elephant and I think Hrithik did that scene amazingly. People love the chemistry of Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan in this film.

Guzaarish – This movie was not a blockbuster like Hrithik earlier movie but this movie proved the caliber of Hrithik Roshan’s acting talent. Once again Indian audiences love Aishwarya and Hrithik as perfect on screen couple. There is no doubt that this was one of the finest performances of Hrithik Roshan.

Apart from above movies I think other movies name that I would love to mentions are –

  • Mission Kashmir
  • Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham
  • Dhoom 2
  • Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara
  • Agneepath

I would love to know your favorite movie name in comments.

Life Time Performance By Emraan Hashmi

Emraan Hashmi and his performanceEmraan Hashmi is known for his kissing scenes in his films. But one cannot deny that he is a good actor too, if you checked many latest Emraan Hashmi Movies. One cannot have so many Hit films to his credit unless he is good in acting. Only Kissing scenes do not make a film successful. It’s the performance of actors and story of the film which attracts the audience and makes it a Hit at Box Office.

By far Hashmi has worked in many films after entering Bollywood in 2003 with Vikram Bhatt’s Footpath. Till now he has been at his best in Milan Luthria’s Once Upon A Time in Mumbai, as per my opinion. He has been nominated for many award s for this film like the Stardust Award for Best Actor in an Ensemble Cast, Filmfare Award, Zee Cine Award, IIFA Award for Best Supporting Actor, Screen Award for Best Villain, etc.

For the film Hashmi received positive response from critics. Film’s star cast includes Ajay Devgan, Kangana Ranaut, Randeep Hooda and Prachi Desai.

The story of the film depicts the crime scenario in Mumbai during the 70s and 80s.It is believed to be based on real-life story of Haji Mastan and Dawood Ibrahim. Hashmi portrayed the role of Shoaib Khan being the character inspired by Dawood.

The film begins as story narrated by ACP Angel Wilson (Randeep Hooda) of the life stories of these two smugglers. Sultan Mirza (Ajay Devgan) enters underworld at a very small age and with the passage of time he becomes strong and powerful with his bravery and wisdom. Soon he becomes the Messiah of Mumbai by rescuing poor’s from difficult situations. He divides and allocates different zones of Mumbai to different smugglers keeping seashore for him.

On the other hand, Shoaib Khan (Hashmi) is a spoiled son of a police inspector and becomes a thief. On request of his father Sultan Mirza helps Shoaib in establishing an electronic shop. But due to his temperament and reputation he could not continue that and requests Mirza to let him join smuggling and Mirza agrees to this.

As the time passes Mirza’s reliance on Shoib increases till a time when Sultan goes out of city for executing his future plans and makes Shoaib his caretaker in his absence. From here starts the tension between the two. On his return Mirza finds that Shoaib has entered into unethical activities. He slaps him in public. On next day Mirza is killed by Shoaib and he becomes the new King of Mumbai.

Hashmi has very well played the role impressing the audience. The success of the film led the directors to make its sequel.

Music of the film was composed by Pritam and the lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil, Neelesh Mishra and Amitabh Bhattacharya which is loved by people a lot.

Gadar Ek Prem Katha – An Epic Movie

Gadar Poster

Gadar Ek Prem Katha – Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel

In Sunny Deol Movies list – “Gadar Ek Prem Katha” have its special place. Till now, in his three decade career Sunny Deol gave his life time performance in the all-time Blockbuster film “Gadar Ek Prem Katha”. The film released on 15th June 2001. At the time of release even the producer director or star cast had no idea that it will be such a great success. It was an office phenomenon and sold more tickets at theaters in India than any film in history apart from Sholay (1975).  It is in list of “Biggest Blockbusters Ever in Hindi Cinema”. Gadar is the third highest grossing film in Bollywood history in India & fifth highest worldwide when inflation is taken into account. With this film, Deol was nominated for the Film fare Best Actor Award.

The story of this film is loosely based on the real life of Boota Singh.

The Deol played the role of truck driver. In the film he played both the role of a romantic lover as well as an action man brilliantly. His role as the daft Jat is very convincing. Directed by Anil Sharma, it is set in 1947. The Partition has long since been a subject for passionate film-making. But very few films can actually claim to have captured the horror objectively and well. Gadar – Ek Prem Katha, for its part, comes as a surprise – because it is a fine mix of beautifully capturing what happened in 1947 in the first half, and completely blowing it out of proportion in the second.

The story begins with a united India, where Sakeena (Amisha Patel), a girl from a gentle, rich Muslim family, is studying at a convent school in Shimla. Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) is a truck driver who fetches supplies to the school. After a silly prank, a friendship develops between the two.

In Partition Sakeena’s family, headed by Ashraf Ali (Amrish Puri) departs amidst the riots for Lahore. Sakeena gets left behind in the melee, and is found and sheltered by Tara. She goes on to change her religion and marries him. The couples have a son together and are happy.

After a good seven-odd years, Sakeena chances upon a picture of her father in the newspaper and realises that her family is alive and well. This is the movie pre-intermission.

Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel in GadarThe plot begins to shudder and shake with ominous sounds when Ashraf Ali’s plans for Sakeena are revealed — that her marriage is something best forgotten, and that she ought to studiously concentrate on a political career, since his only heir, his son, was killed in the post-Partition riots. Sakeena, of course, wants no part of it. She simply wants to go home to her husband and son. But her father tries to force her into a ‘respectable’ marriage with a Muslim. At this point, her husband arrives like an avenging angel to save her.

While the family, along with Tara’s faithful stooge Darmiyan Singh, are escaping on a train to Rajasthan, Ashraf Ali calls in the armed forces to stop them. And all forces combined cannot stop the train, which keeps running; it appears, on the sheer strength of Tara’s determination.

The film has been nominated for many Filmfare Awards.
